MSN Real Estate
September 2011
We profiled 10 locations around the country where a serious environmental accident has caused the evacuation of a town. The goal was to look at how the towns are faring today ... how did the residents weather the storm, and in the rare cases where the environmental tragedy has been contained, how has the legacy impacted real estate prices. Writer Roger Fillion writes: “After tragedy strikes, residents of many cities and towns set their sights on rebuilding. Some are now ghost towns. Others are now grasslands, teeming with bison and falcons.”
SwitchYard has developed a very close and dynamic working relationship with MSN’s Real Estate section, producing at least one slideshow story a week, which invariably is among the section’s most highly-trafficked pieces. Every Wednesday, we have an extensive conference call with Real Estate editors, reviewing story calendars, pitching ideas and discussing edits. With MSN’s editorial guidance, we have built a very efficient system for delivering the tailored content MSN expects.
